1. Origin
Malachite is also known as peacock stone, its name comes from an ancient Greek work which means “hollyhock”, a popular tree in the Jewish wartime. The reason for this name is because the veins of Malachite is exactly the same as the image of hollyhock leaves crowded together.
The magical green colour of the stone is due to the compound of copper because the chemical structure of Malachite is carbonate hydroxide, which formula is Cu2CO3(OH)2. Malachite is located in many countries in different continents, such as: Russia, India, China, Egypt and Mexico.
Since 3000 BC, Malachite has been used to make ornaments and jewelries for royal lineages and nobles. Until now, more and more Malachite jewelry is sought by many people who love its brilliant beauty because its reasonable price makes it much easier to own than before.
